Our Story
Iron Duck began in the 1980s as a division of Fleming Industries, originally producing laundry bags for hospitals and nursing homes. In 1985, the company was approached to create affordable, durable medical carry cases—a request that marked the start of a new chapter. A pivotal moment came when the New York City Fire Department ordered custom bags, launching Iron Duck into the spotlight during a critical time for EMS visibility. Over the following decades, the company expanded into molded backboards, immobilization gear and custom-fit cases for military and OEM medical partners.
Today, Iron Duck operates out of a 55,000 sq. ft. facility in Chicopee, Massachusetts, where its team of dedicated employees continues to handcraft mission-ready gear. With a reputation built on trust, field experience and American craftsmanship, Iron Duck remains a legacy brand—serving those who serve others. From trauma bags to custom solutions, every product is shaped by real-world feedback and designed to perform under pressure.
